Electrical Installation Condition Reports
All electrical installations deteriorate through age and constant use. The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors (NICEIC) and Fusebox Electrical Services recommend premises should be inspected and tested at regular intervals to check whether they are in a satisfactory condition for continued use. Such safety checks are commonly referred to as ‘periodic inspection and testing’ Fixed Wire or EICR Testing.
What is the purpose of an EICR?
The purpose of an EICR is to see if the electrical systems and installations are safe and well maintained. Provided that your premises pass the inspection fully, it will provide you, the owner, with a certificate of safety following the inspection. For any installations that are deemed unsatisfactory, a report will be issued detailing where the issue is, what the likely cause of the issue is and how it can be fixed in order to pass the test full.

What Issues can be revealed & then fixed with an EICR test?
- An EICR test can reveal any issue with circuits or equipment that, might overload or over heat the system;

- Raise awareness of safety issues with bonding or earthing of electrical installations and equipment; and
- Identify any potential faulty electrical work, that could lead to any of the faults above or direct injury to your employees (If a business owner).
